This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.

TUITION & FEES

The tuition and costume fee for this production is $400 for youth ages 15-19, 10% sibling discount. Sibling discount on 2nd registration will be refunded via PayPal within 24 hours of payment received.

PLEASE NOTE: Early registration for this show will end at 9pm on Thursday July 9th. A late fee of $50 will automatically be added to all registrations (online registration and in-person online registration) after 9pm on 7/9. Registration for this show will close at 9:30am on Friday 7/10/26.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Those auditioning should bring a musical theatre sonhag (or any song they are comfortable with), 16-32 bars or one minute in length. Bring an accompaniment with CD or mobile device to sing with. You may also sing acapella if needed.
