Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr (all youth ages 6-18 are cast)

Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home and her fins behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.

Tuition & Fees

The tuition and costume fee for this production is $325 for youth ages 14-19, 10% sibling discount. Sibling discount on 2nd registration will be refunded via PayPal within 24 hours of payment received.

PLEASE NOTE: Early registration for this show will end at 9pm on Friday January 10th. A late fee of $50 will automatically be added to all registrations (online registration and in-person online registration) after 9pm on 1/10. Registration for this show will close at 10:45am on Saturday 01/11/25.

Audition Information

Those auditioning should bring an accompaniment on a mobile device to sing with. You may also sing acapella if needed.

A digital copy will be available for purchase of this production.  MTA has switched from physical DVDs and Blu-Ray discs to digital copies. Within 3 business days after a production has been recorded, cast members and parents will receive an email with a link to purchase and download the video to their choice of device. That link can be forwarded by the cast members and parents, making it easier for family and friends to also purchase and download a copy of the production recording.

New procedure after auditions:

Once you finish auditioning, you will exit the auditorium and no longer receive a slip saying what time to arrive the following day. Instead, please look for an email from the Production Stage Manager with details indicating your arrival time the following day, as well as any additional information. Dismissal times will vary. Thank you!
