Summer Performing Arts Convention 2024

August 1-4, 2024

Thursday and Friday from 4:15-8:45

Saturday and Sunday from 9:00-3:30 (with performances Sunday at 4:00 and 5:00)

Ages 8-11 Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced 
Ages 12-16 Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced 
Ages 17-21 Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced 

*May combine ages or levels as needed

DESCRIPTION:

Level Options:

Beginner - The beginner level will be geared toward participants who are new to theater or have been in 5 or less productions.

Intermediate - The intermediate level will be geared toward participants who have been in 6-15 productions and attend classes.

Advanced - The advanced level will be geared toward participants who have been in over 15 productions. For dance, they have been actively taking multiple classes, and for voice, they are studying privately with a teacher. For acting, they have been in multiple sessions of Improv. Prior permission is necessary in order to enroll at the advanced level. Please contact [email protected] to request permission.

*Please note that your level placement and/or age group will vary depending upon the material and structure of each class. We ask that you trust the staff with your class placement.

-       Thursday and Friday from 4:15-8:45 

-       Each participant will be in 8 classes from the below list (Below is just a sampling of classes and are subject to change; you are not guaranteed placement or top choices due to scheduling constraints)

Beginning Character Development and Scene Study
Intermediate/Advanced Character Development and Scene Study

Elective Classes and Performance $350

-       Elective Options Thursday and Friday from 4:15-8:45

o   Participant will be in 8 classes

-       Saturday and Sunday from 9:00-3:30 

o   Using the skills learned on Thursday and Friday, learn and perform songs and scenes from MTA’s 17^th Season!

-       Sunday Performances 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 p.m. (6:00 would be TBD on enrollment); performance would run about 30 minutes
